True Identity Retreat!

I went on this retreat in October with another good friend of mine. It was awesome. We felt like a changed women when we returned. I know some people think that these changes are short term. I know that Jesus is long term and he is with me forever and the changes that I continually make. The funny thing is that I found this video with me in it on another friends facebook page. She did not even realize I was in it as she did not know I went to this retreat! God is good and will find you wherever you are!

A Few of Their Favorite Characters!

We had a blast at Disney. I am still recovering. It was the perfect vacation so much so that we don't know if we could do it again because nothing can top that! No lines....the longest line we stood in was 15 minutes! We rode most rides twice and that was a lot of fun so that the kids could get the full effect. There favorite ride was Space Mountain. I was SHOCKED! The youngest of our 3 was the most excited about it. I am so glad that I am so blessed to have an awesome dh with an awesome job so that we could experience Disney at it's best time to visit. I am also very blessed to have my children in a school that gave me make-up work ahead of time and was very understanding of "family time".

Day 1:Disney

We got up at 5:30 am and headed into our already packed car! We had put the kids in their comfy clothes so they would just roll out of bed into the car. It all went smoothly. We picked up my dad around 6:45 a.m. and stopped at McDonalds to get some breakfast. It took forever! Off we went. The adults were having good converasation and the kids were watching new movies that I bought for the car trip. I highly advise it. This was their first trip over 6 hours and it was a blast. They were so excited that we stopped at an rest area. They think that it is very cool to look at the maps and see how far we have come. That is the Davis gene that they inherited from my dh side of the family. We stopped for lunch and got out of the car into 76 degree weather! Huh? When we left Atlanta it was 26 degrees! I was hoping that Princess's asthma would not flare up due to the DRASTIC weather changed. The kids loved the warm weather. The weather just got them more excited than ever about Disney. After a nice lunch and a beautiful car ride we are here! We came to this awesome house that I found super cheap(will post house pics later) unpacked our car and headed for downtown Disney. A friend of mine had told me about Lego Land and no one has done it justice describing it so I won't try it either. This trip is really letting me see that Joy that my children in my childrens eyes that fairytales really do come true.

Family Fun Night

We decided as a family that once a week was going to be family night at the Montgomery house. We started a while ago and got so distracted that we just put it off. Thanks to Whittaker Woman and my other fellow bloggers we are back on! In the spirit of Christmas we made North Pole Pancakes. I went into Williams and Sonoma's and picked up North Pole Pancakes and let me tell you...they are the best I have ever had in my entire life! They are homemade so I expected better than a box but wow! I did decide that I need a griddle so that I can make all of them at once so we can eat together. The shapes were a snowman, a reindeer, and a Santa Claus. I also had cool whip and chocolate chips. Yummy! If you would like the recipe I can post it here!

First Official Elementary School Fieldtrip

My kids were so happy on the first fieldtrip. The best part for them was that they got to ride the school bus downtown! It was the first time they rod the school bus. I would have driven myself but the school would not let me so.....Angel and Buzz had a blast at the Center for Puppetry Arts. They loved it so much that maybe Santa will give them a season pass for Christmas!

Tuesday Halloween Playdate

Whew!!! I need a glass of some'in good. It started this morning when I woke up. I decided that I really wanted to get my house organized and reorganized. I started to clean only one room today. I had to volunteer so I only had two hours. I have to clean off the computer desk and organize that but then I will be done. I had to get rid of two bags of toys. My kids are in school all day and they mostly play outside so I felt that it was gluttonous to keep all of those toys. Later today we had a playdate/halloween party with two of my really good friends! It's so funny because we are all over the top and I think personally" OCD over achievers" but you know.... We had a blast! We made worm apples, caramel popcorn with all sorts of sweet treats inside, decorated sugar cookies, and yummy pizza! Today was one of those day's that you just have to scrapbook! I think I feel a retreat coming on!

A Tiger Scratched Me

My dh took this video a while ago and I forgot to post it on my blog. He gets the coolest video. My mother in law just loves it and I must admit it is hilarious! My daughter took a marker and drew on her face and when asked about it....

The Times Have Changed

Tonight our entire family(extended family included)went to Medieval Times courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa. It was just fabulous! I think this is the first time in a long time we have all been done something together as a family. It made me realize how much we really don't all get together. I think it's sad that we all live in the ATL area and see each other as though we are a couple of states away. Don't get me wrong we see grandma and grandpa about a couple of times a month but not the others. It's so easy to take family for granted. We don't always see eye to eye but one day some of us will be gone and we need to love each other now. We are a little spread out now but maybe one day we will all live in the same city. All the grand kids would love it. I love seeing grandma and grandpa. They are like my real parents only lighter(inside joke if you don't know the situation). I am so glad that my kids have grandparents. They are always there when we call to...come to a game, kidsit, special days at school, birthdays, and most of all just because. Tonight was one of those nights where I was just filled with joy. The funny thing is that "Mom" kept saying that she loved seeing the kids faces as they watched the show but the funny thing was I loved seeing her face as she watched the kids. I will always remember that smile that she had on her face. It's something that I will be able to tell the kids when they are older. I can tell them how much their grandparents loved them. I never really understood what a grandparents love was but tonight it was so evident...guess I am getting old. "Dad" is just a sucker for his granddaughters. He is a lively man to say the least. You will always laugh or be fully embarrassed when he's around. I actually think he is quite funny. My oh my how the times have changed...

Family Night #1

We use to do family night but got out of the habit when dh started traveling overseas. It took a while but Whitaker Woman's blog got me back into the swing of things. I think family time is so important. Dh has surgery last week so we did a "Family Evening" instead of night. I love family time and I think everyone should do it and start when your kids are young as they will one day leave. We play games, talk, cook, movies, and sometimes we even go on a field trip with them. Yesterday we had our first "Fall" day and celebrated with doughnuts and hot chocolate!

Pumpkin Patch!

The kids were out of school for Columbus Day so me and a friend took our kids to the pumpkin patch. It was a blast we rode up to North Georgia with 6 kids in the car! They were all very good in the car! We passed the Kangaroo farm on the way and I so wanted to go there. You can't take kids until they are 8 so I guess dh and I will have to go without them for now. The trees were all orange and brown and the leaves were constantly falling as we drove through the mountains.
