Mother Goose at Nokia

There is a goose that has been causing problems at Nokia. Here is what they sent out to dh and his colleagues: "Due to the out pouring of sympathy related to the separation of the goose family and the fact that the male goose has now taken up residence on the nest, we have called the animal control people to try and capture him. They should be out today to attempt the removal and reunite him with his partner." I think this is hilarious! I guess building security is necessary!

Sweet Dreams.....Ariel

I just went upstairs to kiss the girls goodnight. Princess is reading her favorite book "Zin, Zin, Violin" I kissed Ariel and she rolled over from pure exhaustion from today and said, "I see the pretty butterflies...I see them". What a sweet girl she is having a sweet dream. Kids dream about the simplest things. I am terrified of butterflies but I think it is cute that my little girl is dreaming of something so peaceful.

A Day at the Lake

It was a beautiful day. It was mostly sunny and about 75 degrees outside. We came home from ballet and soccer and decided to have a cookout at Lake Lanier which is 5 minutes from our house. We really need to use our lake more often. Dh cooked out while me and the kids played. Princess found a baby acorn. She was so excited since they are into loving whatever is a baby. We had a picnic and played in the water. Buzz decided that he would undress himself totally since everyone else had on their swimsuits and he did not. Little did he know I had the their's in the car because we were going to a friends house day before the it was too cold to do the sprinkler. It was pure luck I had swimsuits and towels! I saw my family in a different way that day. Buzz was so happy to explore nature. Princess just loves her daddy so much she enjoyed him and playing in the water. Ariel just loved everything because of her innocence. To be a child again..... Some days I am just purely overwhelmed especially when dh is out of town. He keeps me grounded and calmer. I can be a bit high maintenance but I see him as the man God wants him to be. I know that I can count on him even when he makes me angry he does make my day better than it was. If I am having bad day just hearing his voice is relaxing and assuring. We have our ups and downs but he is a great guy. He is the dad that I wish I had. He is so patient with the kids. I know I am a bit over the top but I only want the best for my kids. I am taking lessons from dh though about letting them be who they are and "just be kids". I can stand to learn a thing or two from him. I felt like today was like our vacation at Hilton Head last year! Wow what a day. God can send a day that you are just in ahhh about. Enjoy.....

Prayer

My actual birthday was April 16. It fell on a Monday so we celebrated on Saturday. I am woke up to VT shootings on t.v. I am so sorry that this happened to that community. I have a friend who actually went there and I can see the hurt on her face. I know that hit her hard. I would like to say to all of you out there that this is a tragedy no matter the blame. We can blame all day but that does not bring or change the situation. There is good and evil in the world and we all have free will. The Lord said that he would save us if we believe that he is who he says he is. He never said that bad things will not happen to good people. Do not blame just pray. We are not in control. No matter what higher power you believe in we are not in control. If you don't believe it........take another look. There is no 100% full proof plan for anything. Prayer will take you further and give you more peace than blame. Try it.... If you say that I don't believe in God etc. All I have to say about that is "How's that workin for ya"? Peace to VT.

Happy B-day to Me?...Yes it was.

What a wonderful birthday I had! It was the ABSOLUTE best b-day in the world. Dh out did himself. Words can't express how important he made me feel. Dh had it all planned. He arranged a couples birthday party for me. I was totally surprised as I did not know anything about it or who was coming. He told me Friday night to have my bags packed by 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning. At 10:30 I was ready to go. We dropped off the kids at Grandma's. We went shopping for me! He proceeded to take me to a very nice snazzy hotel. I then got dressed and told him that I had the camera so that we could take pics at dinner. He pulled out another camera from under the bed and said "how about this one" . I think that was the perfect way to give a gift. We went to dinner and I was so very excited about the camera but I was a little down because I know my brother "J" was not going to be able to make it. Little did I know he and his girlfriend "K" were coming early to see me before his prior engagement. That was great! So dh had dinner planned,dancing at Bell Bottoms, dessert at Intermezzo Cafe' and a night away from home. Thank you sweetie for making my day important.

It's Almost my B-day

It's almost that time. I am going out tomorrow. My dh planned everything. Everyone keeps asking me what I want for my birthday and I say well a camera and......thing is I am over all the stuff (excluding scrapbooking) I absolutely can't wait for my b-day. I know all of you are like dang she loves her b-day. Yes I do and why not. I mean it is the greatest day...at least for me. My kids are so excited it's mommy's b-day. I think that it should be like a holiday or something. LOL! I can laugh and I love all the attention that I get. Life is good. I went shopping today and I am now wearing a size 10! Working out is really working for me. It seems the smaller I get the cuter the clothes. I think I am going shopping in New York this Winter! Road Trip anyone?

Scrapbooking to another limit !

I could not believe my eyes when I saw this ! I think that I have found a career. I do this all the time and never thought such a thing could happen. Apparently there are people out there with too much money. How much would you pay for this?

Spring Babies!

Yes it is that time of year again. Everything is blossoming including a lot of my girlfriends. I have 7 friends due every month until September. I am so happy for all of them because I love supporting new/veteran moms. I have some really cool ideas planned for their arrivals. You go girls. My daughter informed me that it was Spring time and that is when babies are born. She is so right and so aware. I love that she gets to experience new people coming into the world.

My Easter Collection!

It is cold out but it is beautiful. The kids woke up this morning very excited about Easter and that Jesus is Alive. Praise God for that! We went to church and now we are off to Grandma's House for lunch. Have a wonderful Easter!

Catching Up

I just finished stenciling my girl's room. It looks great. I will post pictures tomorrow. I am waiting on one of my good friends to have her baby girl. I am so excited for her. I have been thinking about my life and taking a good long look at myself. Time has a way of doing that to you. Dh has been working his butt off around the house. We have had a wonderful week and we have been gone everyday. We are planning our trip for Disney this October(hmmm..) I can't wait to start scrapbooking again. Life is good,kids are great, dh and I are great, and oh yeah it's almost my birthday. Yay me! Can't wait to see what dh has planned.

Spring Fun In The Sun

The Montgomery Family is getting ready for Spring and Summer. We are painting, de-cluttering, planting flowers/bushes, washing cars, and cleaning out the garage. It has been great having dh home. I miss how much fun we have when he is home. We are great together. Buzz, Princess, and Ariel are so happy to help in the yard. They played and planted We stayed out talking to the neighbors until 8:45! The kids were zonked out. Once we get everything done I am back to scrap booking! I love it! I am headed to the Y to take my Zumba class. Oh yeah, I went for my checkup yesterday and I am 5lbs form my bfk weight! Yay! I am trying to loose 10lbs more and then I am set. Thanks to you all for encouraging especially you dh.
